What suits a Bandon house.

The kitchen is usually at the back and narrower than the rooms at the front, sometimes with a step down. A single wall run or a galley with tall storage at the end keeps the floor clear. Where a dividing wall has already come out, an island can anchor the new open room. Everything is cut to the walls as they are.
Estate houses from the sixties to the eighties
These kitchens were fitted for their day and have done well to last. The question is whether the layout still works. If it does, new doors and a fresh painted finish can make it feel new. What does the free consultation involve?
Marius comes to your home, looks at the room and how you use it, measures it himself and brings finish samples so you can see colours in your own light. He designs around what he measured and you get a written, itemised quote with a clear timeline. There’s no obligation.
Should I renovate my kitchen or replace it?
It depends on the units and the layout. If the carcasses are sound and the room works, new doors or a repaint can do a lot. If the layout is the problem, patching it is money badly spent. Marius will tell you which at the consultation, even when the honest answer is the smaller job.
Can you fit a home office as well as the kitchen?
Yes. A built-in desk in a spare room, an alcove or under the stairs is measured and fitted the same way as the kitchen, and can be painted to match. Plenty of Bandon houses have a room that could work harder.
