Farmhouse kitchens
Big rooms with a range in a recess, a deep sill under the window, and walls that are anything but straight. The best kitchens here are planned around those fixed points: tall storage where the ceiling allows, a good run of worktop either side of the range, a larder press if there is room.
Dormer bungalows
A compact kitchen with a layout that made sense forty years ago. Sometimes it only needs new doors and worktops. Often the better move is to reconfigure it: extend the worktop run, open the room to the dining space, or fit an island if the floor allows. Marius will tell you which.
Newer detached houses
Plenty of space and an open-plan kitchen and living area, fitted with a standard kitchen when the house was new. Replacing it is a chance to plan the room properly, with the storage in the right places and the units cut to the walls rather than stopped short of them.

Can you design a kitchen around a range cooker?
Yes. A range is a fixed point, so the kitchen is planned from it outwards: worktop either side, storage that leaves the clearances it needs, and units cut to the recess it sits in. If you have a solid-fuel range that is staying, say so at the consultation and Marius will design around it.
What if the floors and walls are not level?
That is exactly what cut to fit is for. Marius measures the actual room, not an assumed standard, and cuts each unit to sit true against the wall and floor as they are. You will not be looking at wedges and filler strips.
How does the free consultation work?
