Kitchens for Clonakilty, cut to fit the house.
Based in Skibbereen, working in Clonakilty, Inchydoney, Ring and the countryside around them. Marius measures the room, designs the kitchen and fits it himself.

A food town deserves a working kitchen.
Clonakilty takes food seriously, and it shows in what people ask for. Less show, more worktop. A larder press that actually holds the shopping. Drawers where the pots go, next to the hob. A kitchen here is usually planned around cooking for a crowd, whether that’s the family every evening or a full house on a bank holiday weekend.
We work in Clonakilty from our workshop in Skibbereen. Marius comes to your home for a free consultation, measures the room himself and brings samples with him. He designs the kitchen around what he measured, and once it’s cut to size and painted in your colour, he’s the one who fits it. One person from the first visit to the last handle.

Townhouse, farmhouse or estate house.
Three kinds of Clonakilty home, and what tends to work in each.
Painted townhouses in the centre
The colourful terraces have kitchens at the back, often narrow and sometimes stepped down a level. A galley or single run with tall storage at one end keeps the floor clear. Where the house is old, we work around what’s there rather than against it. Every unit is cut to the width the wall actually is.
Farmhouses out the Inchydoney and Call roads
Big square rooms with a chimney breast, a back door to the yard and a window over the sink. There’s space for a proper island, a dresser-style unit and a walk-in pantry off the kitchen. The trick is to keep the farmhouse feel while giving it modern storage. Painted units in a soft colour usually do it.
Estates on the edge of town
Houses from the nineties onwards with a decent kitchen-diner and an original kitchen that has done its time. Sometimes new doors and a repaint is all it needs. Sometimes the layout wastes the room and it’s worth a fresh design. We’ll tell you which we think, even when it’s the smaller job.
From the kitchen to the utility and the larder.
Kitchens come first. Pantries, utility rooms and renovations use the same measure, design and fit.

Call 085 254 4787Do you cover Clonakilty?
Yes. We work in Clonakilty town, Inchydoney, Ring, Ardfield and the townlands around them, and along the coast to Rosscarbery and Timoleague. Our workshop is in Skibbereen and West Cork is where we work.
How does the free consultation work?
Marius comes to your home, looks at the room and how you cook, measures it himself and brings finish samples so you can see colours in your own light. Then he designs around what he measured and you get a written, itemised quote with a clear timeline. There’s no obligation.
Can you fit a pantry into a house that doesn’t have one?
Often, yes. A larder press within the kitchen run does most of what a pantry does. Where there’s an alcove, a corner or an unused cupboard nearby, a walk-in pantry can be cut to fit the space. It comes down to what the room gives us, which is what the consultation is for.
Do you take on renovations, or only new kitchens?
Both. If the units are sound, new doors or a fresh painted finish can make the kitchen feel new without ripping it out. We’ll tell you honestly which makes sense for your kitchen.

Kind words from our customers.

I am delighted with my kitchen. Marius took the small space I had, and rearranged the design of the kitchen to fit the space. It is now a refreshing and contemporary space with tons of storage. His attention to detail is exceptional. 100% recommend.
I needed a press built in where a fridge used to be and it had to look like the rest of the kitchen presses. Marius was so exact and his attention to detail is fantastic. Highly recommend him.
Placed a tricky ‘under-the-stairs’ cupboard with an eye for detail. Great result, we are so happy with it and the loads of storage! Neat on the job, flexible, excellent communication and Marius of ‘Kitchen Hero’ was only happy when the fit and finish were perfect 😃
Marius was a pleasure to deal with, from design ideas all the way up to construction and fitting. He gave us loads of extras, went through all the options and tailored our kitchen to our budget. The quality of his workmanship and his products are out of this world! He lives up to his name as the kitchen hero. Along with all the traditional carpentry/joinery skills he looked after the plumbing and working for the relocation of sinks, switches etc etc. thanks again for making our house a home!
